Troubleshooting
Email address is already associated with an Ancestry account
Each email address may only be connected to one Ancestry account. If you receive this message, sign in using that email and your Ancestry password (don’t know your password? See Resetting a Forgotten Password) or sign up with a different email address. If you share an email with someone, one of you will need to use a different email address for Ancestry. You can create an email address for free.
Shared email address
If you share an email address with a spouse, partner, or someone else, one of you will need to use a different email address for your Ancestry account. You can create an email address for free.
